Abercelyn Country House is a Grade II-listed 18th century, former rectory, which has been sympathetically renovated to provide modern comforts, including central-heating and luxury en-suite bathrooms, while retaining original features such as the Georgian staircase, marble fireplaces and window seats. The house is set in landscaped, mature award-winning gardens overlooking Bala Lake. All the bright, spacious bedrooms have en-suite luxury bathrooms, a colour TV with teletext, VCR and remote control, a clock-radio, beverage facilities and wine glasses & cork-screw. The bathrooms are provided with a diverse range of toiletries and bath sheets. The bedrooms are named after local mountain ranges and have lake views. All beds have 4-season white goose-down duvets and home-made quilts are provided in some bedrooms.

Guests can relax in front of a log fire in the drawing room, browse the library or write letters. Books with local interest include "The Story of Mary Jones and her Bible" and "I bought a Mountain" by Thomas Firbank. Guided-walking is also available. For long distance walkers, transport can be provided to suitable points - by prior booking only - and subject to availability.

For a party of up to six, you can book exclusive use of Abercelyn Country House with meals of your choice - please call to discus.

For a special occasions try the Aran bedroom with whirlpool bath.
