How to find Abercelyn Country House and self-catering Cottages

 
Abercelyn is in Llanycil, on the A494 Bala to Dolgellau Road, ½-mile from Bala (direction south-west). Abercelyn is opposite Llanycil Church.

Please note that there are different entrances for B&B or Cottages/towing, as described below.

Bed & Breakfast

   

In the Bala to Dolgellau direction, continue through Bala towards Dolgellau on the A494, ½-mile after Bala, pass the sign for Llanycil (drive safely) and turn right opposite the church, just before the right turn to Parc.

In the Dolgellau to Bala direction, take the A494, pass the sign for Llanycil (Drive safely) and turn left opposite the church, just after the left turn for Parc.

Note this is the turn for Parc in Llanycil.

Look for the Squirrel!


Self-catering Cottages or with a trailer

In the Bala to Dolgellau, continue through Bala towards Dolgellau on the A494, ½-mile after Bala, pass the sign for Llanycil (drive safely) and almost immediately turn right into the last entrance of three together, with sign "Abercelyn & Cottages" on the gate post - look for the Acorns!

Where the drive forks, keep straight-on for the Cottage or left down to the Tithe Barn. Tithe Barn-1 is the first cottage and Tithe Barn-2 is the second cottage with wooden panelling

   

In the Dolgellau to Bala direction, take the A494, pass the sign for Llanycil (Drive safely) then pass the Abercelyn (squirrel sign) and take the next left turn. This is the third of three entrances together with sign "Abercelyn & Cottages" on the gate post  - look for the Acorns!.

Where the drive forks, keep straight-on for the Cottage or left down to the Tithe Barn. Tithe Barn-1 is the first cottage and Tithe Barn-2 is the second cottage with wooden panelling
